If you are interested in even more information and countless photos from Fall/Winter '07/'08 you should take a look at www.internetrends.com . One of the nice features of this site is that most of the models are identified. There is even a directory of model photographs.

In other news, www.balticsensations.com now has a list of agencies. Just click here to see our list of agency links. Later this week www.balticsensations.com should have its resource links up. Everything from Le Book to the better model blogs will be included. Practically every fashion magazine that features high-fashion models will also be included.

One of the more interesting faces in Baltic modeling must belong to Helena Magone (Latvia). Helena is already very well-known, however you should be seeing much more of her in the next few years. She is with Premier Model Management (London), Women (Milan), and perhaps Dandy (Latvia)??? Dandy has a reputation for finding the unique model. Riga Fashion Week runs from March 27 - March 31. Here is the complete listing.

In the past, some of the more modest "mall fashion shows" have included some well-known Latvian models. So it will be interesting to see what the lineups will look like come next week.

Profiles

We continue creating new profiles at BS Model Profiles. Baltic Sensations is in need of more information on Baiba Jukame (Latvia) who was the Elite Model Look Latvian 2006 winner.

Site Update

Though www.balticsensations.com is not close to being a finished product, we do have a bit of the site up and running.

Take a look at our front page. From there you can finally see all of the photos that Jonathan Beck Leder sent us in regards to his shoot with Luize Salmgrieze. You can also view the Model Profiles section. The Model Profiels section should be updated daily. Baltic Sensations will one day have a profile of every high-fashion model (including the newest of the new faces) in the Baltics.

We rely on the Internet, the models themselves, agencies/model management firms, photographers, and you the reader to help us keep the information as accurate as possible. If there is a dispute about a piece of information we will leave the disputed material out.

We hope you enjoy our efforts. Any suggestions would be greatly apprectiated. We are also looking for writers who would like to help us out.

Website Update

Soon, BalticSensations.com will be launched. At first it will be under heavy construction. We will eventually have a page for practically every high-fashion model in the Baltics. Each model will have a photo, a link to her mother agency page, her agency list, show list, editorial list, etc. There will be BS Exclusives, agency information and news, contest coverage, and more.

Once again, the launch will include a website under very heavy construction. Baltic Sensations will always be a work in progress. This means that you will see us grow weekly if not daily.

Remember, Baltic Sensations is a non-profit site. This means that we are very appreciative of any information, corrections, updates, etc. that you can send our way. If you want we will be glad to give you full credit for the information that you have sent us.

A very big thank you to everyone who has corrected us, given us updates, sent us information, or just made comments.

F/W 2007/08 Shows

The list is complete. We will be posting the showlist for every Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian model that participated in New York, London, Milan, or Paris shows. We compiled the list from a variety of sources. It will be posted to our new website as soon as we get the site up and running. Please let us know if you see something that should be corrected.

If anyone wants a copy of the list before we post it to our new website just send us an email with the request. We will be glad to send you the list by email.

Fall/Winter 2007 Model List

It's fashion season, which means that Baltic Sensations will soon post the list of what models did what shows. So far the following Baltic models have done shows:

Estonia: Diana Sillaots, Carolina Bergstein, Karmen Pedaru, Dasha Vlasenko, Claudia Merikula, Olga Serova, Anett Griffel, Carmen Kass, and Tiiu Kiuk.

Lithuania: Dovile Virsilaite, Svetlana Lazareva, Egle Tvirbutaite, Edita Vilkeviciute, Giedre Dukauskaite, and Eva Arlauskaite.

Latvia: Grieta Bastika, Inguna Butane, Ilze Bajare, Svieta Nemkova, Helena Magone, Inga Barkovska, and Marta Berzkalna

Please fill us in on any names which we may have missed. The above list does not include Paris (which is underway currently).

Luize Salmgrieze (Latvia) *** UPDATE ***

Fashion photographer, Jonathan Beck Leder, recently contacted Baltic Sensations with news and photos about one of the hottest names this fashion season - Luize Salmgrieze. Jonathan Beck Leder had only positive comments about working with Luize. The occasion was to produce test photos for Women. As can be seen by the above photo, the results when talented photographer meets top model can be magical.

Giedre has been a hot name for more than a year now. She made a major splash in 2006 and is poised to have an even better year in 2007. Giedre was a major part of the Feb. 2007 edition of I-D. V Magazine named her as one of the new "it girls". She has recently done shows such as Blugirl, Just Cavalli, Diane Von Furstenberg, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Narcisco Rodriguez. Giedre is with New York Models, IMG, P Model Scout Team (Prague), View Management (Spain), and Women Management (Italy).
